St. John’s / St. Ann’s Food Pantry is part of the mission of St. John’s / St. Ann’s Outreach Center operated by Catholic Charities. The Food Pantry provides emergency supplemental food for residents in the South End of Albany. The Pantry provides sufficient food for 3 meals for 3 days or a total of nine meals per month for each individual registered to a household. Registration is coordinated through the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. The Food Pantry also provides toiletries (which cannot be purchased with food stamps), infant formula, baby food and diapers when available.
St. Paul’s provides food items and occasional toiletries which have been donated by the parish congregation. Donations are acknowledged at the offering during the 10:30 a.m. church service.
